KATHY LUSARDI RETIRES
April 2nd, 2019
On April 1st this year, Kathy Lusardi retired after spending over 11 years at KB as one of our top sales representatives. On behalf of Kitayama Brothers and myself I want to thank Kathy for all her efforts and work on KB’s behalf.
Kathy came to KB when we acquired GE Moore Company in November of 2007. GE Moore was a local flower broker and shipper who was known for service, quality and selection. KB acquired GE Moore because we needed to improve in all these areas. Kathy had just joined GE Moore a few months prior to the acquisition where she was making a career change from real estate to flowers. It was not easy in the beginning, not only was she making a career change but now the company was going to be sold. However, Kathy stuck with it, she learned the flowers, the flower business and how to work with customers who ran the gamut from tiny mom and pop flower shops to huge flower corporations.
Her legacy at KB is how hard she advocated for her customers and ultimately to make KB a better company. I am next door to our production manager Jimmy Zheng and she would constantly be knocking on his or my door, to give us customer feedback on our flowers. I know that sometimes we didn’t want to hear it, but it is the most important information we can receive.
We want to thank Kathy for helping us be better and please enjoy your much-deserved retirement to do the things we know you have been planning.
